This release is almost entirely about the first few hours. Several things shaped for a much later farm were arriving anyway — the rare-drop blessings, the Sunday festival, the daily streak bonus — and the goose's own first orders were asking for the slowest crop available at the time.
- Rare-drop blessings are now per crop. The four Affinity blessings covered every crop at once, which meant their price had to answer for tomatoes while their unlock answered for wheat. Each crop now has its own four, from Wheat Uncommon Fortune through to Tomato Dreamlike Fortune, priced against what that crop is actually worth. Wheat's first one costs 50,000 Sigils rather than 5,000,000, and the pot crops have their own alongside the sown ones.
- A blessing only appears once it would do something. Affinity unlocked as soon as any crop crossed a mastery threshold, but the drop it improved was still gated on each crop's own mastery, so most of what you bought sat idle for hundreds of levels. A crop's Fortune blessings now open on that crop's Mastery — 25 for Uncommon, 75 for Rare, 200 for Mythic, 500 for Dreamlike — the same marks the drops themselves use.
- Sigils spent on the old blessings come back. The four Affinity blessings are retired, and anything invested in them is refunded in full the first time you load, to be spent again crop by crop.
- The Rare Drops shop reads at a glance. Every row carries its crop's icon, and the tab shows each crop's next tier rather than laying out all fifty-six at once.
- The goose's first orders stop waiting on carrots. The third order asked for twenty-five carrots, which at five minutes a harvest was the longest wait anywhere in the tutorial, and it held the level 7 gate for the whole of it. The three orders now run two wheat, then wheat and raspberries, then a send-off across all three with five carrots rather than twenty-five — more to deliver, and considerably less waiting.
- The goose's note states the goal rather than the shopping list. The pinned reminder spelled out every item an order wanted, which only repeated what the Orders panel already said. It now reads Complete 3 contracts and fills in as you claim them, and the panel still lists exactly what each order needs.
- The Harvest Festival waits for your farm to find its feet. Sunday's festival lifts every crop price to 2.5 times its usual value, the largest swing in the game, and it was reaching farms on their first day. Until level 100 the market is otherwise deliberately still, so a farm installed on a Sunday learned festival prices as ordinary prices and met an apparent collapse on Monday. The festival now opens at level 10, once a farm is also a week old, which leaves room to learn what a crop is normally worth. Farms already past both marks carry on as before.
- The daily streak starts at day zero. A new farm was handed day one, and the sale bonus that comes with it, before planting anything. The streak now begins at zero and reaches day one when you return the next day, so the bonus is earned by coming back rather than by installing. The streak marker in the corner arrives with it, instead of sitting on a farm that has no streak to show. Streaks already running are untouched.
- The Market no longer describes prices it is not charging. The solo market panel read that all crops sell at base price on festival days, when every crop was in fact selling for 2.5 times that. The note about the festival running every Sunday now waits until the festival is actually available, rather than advertising a bonus that cannot yet be claimed.
A farm's first hour sets what every price after it feels like, so this one is mostly about leaving that first hour alone. As ever, tell me how it lands.
