v0.15.1: Every idol in its own likeness

This release started as a fix for the Crop Idols, which arrived in v0.15.0 wearing one shared statue with a crop icon floating above it, and grew into a pass on how the farm looks: a new app icon, two new paths and four new fences, with the old paths redrawn.

  • Every Crop Idol has its own statue. Each of the eleven crops now has an idol carved in its own likeness, a sheaf of wheat, a carrot, a tomato, so an idol says what it serves from across the island. The floating crop icon is gone.
  • Idols come in four finishes. An idol arrives in bronze at Mastery 50 and is recast in silver at Mastery 100, gold at Mastery 200 and diamond at Mastery 350, so its plinth shows how far its crop has come. What an idol does is unchanged.
  • Idols stand on two tiles. The new statues are two tiles wide, so an idol now takes the ground it looks like it takes rather than one tile with the statue hanging over the edge. Its reach is measured from both tiles, three out in every direction, so it blesses an eight-by-seven patch rather than a seven-by-seven one. An idol already standing grows onto the tile to its right on next launch, or shuffles one tile left if that one is taken. If neither is free it is lifted and its Sigils returned.
  • Grapes are worth more, and teach more. A grape sold for 1,000 Sigils and gave 10 experience, which left the Level 150 vine earning less in a day than a blackberry pot and a fraction of what the apple tree does. A grape now sells for 2,500 Sigils and gives 100 experience, so a full vine is 90,000 Sigils and 3,600 experience. Ageing in the Reserve is unchanged, and still the better use of a grape.
  • A new app icon. The goose now stands on its island under a cloud, and the Beta ribbon has come off. Home screens set to dark or tinted icons get matching versions.
  • Two new paths, and the old ones redrawn. Dirt at Level 20 and Cool Gravel at Level 25 join the early ladder, five Sigils a tile like the rest of it. Cobble has become Fitted Fieldstones, with edging stones where a path meets grass, and Cool Gravel is edged the same way. Gravel has a new warmer texture, and three ground covers are redrawn under new names: Mini White Clover, Fine Velvet Moss and Ivory Marble. The five ground covers also show their texture on their menu swatch, which had been a flat colour since they arrived.
  • Four new fences. Iron Rail at Level 30, Garden Railing at 45, Porcelain Hoop at 60 and Pearl Scallop at 90 join Lightwood and Metal, so the six fences now arrive every fifteen levels from 15 to 90. Lightwood comes down from Level 50 to 15, so a fence is on the table from the day Decorations opens.

Tell me which one you raise first.
