v0.16.0: Bees pollinate

This release makes the three garden structures simple, and carries five fences and a sweep of small fixes that were waiting in an unreleased 0.15.2. Nothing since 0.15.1 has reached TestFlight until now.

  • Bees pollinate. A Beehive used to speed up the crops around it, which on any crop faster than your visits changed nothing at all. Every harvest within two tiles of a hive now has a 5% chance of an extra fruit, per hive. Hives stack without limit, and past 100% the overflow keeps paying: two hives' worth guarantees two extra fruits and rolls for a third.
  • Totems and cherryblossoms keep their jobs, at a fixed reach. A Totemblossom adds 25% experience to every harvest within two tiles, per totem. A Cherryblossom counts as five Fortune levels on every rarity roll within three tiles of its footprint, per tree. Both stack without limit, and reach is larger than before for all three.
  • Honey, Spirit and Wishes are gone. Each structure dripped a currency that bought only more of itself and per-structure upgrades no farm could afford: maxing one hive cost about a thousand hive-days of honey. The buckets, the three menus and the Hive Capacity and Totem Capacity blessings are retired, with Sigils spent on those two returned. More copies now cost Sigils: 50,000 for a hive, 300,000 for a totem, 800,000 for a cherryblossom, rising 1.6 times a copy. The first of each is still a gift.
  • One Blessing per structure. Busy Bees raises every hive by 5% a tier, nine tiers from Level 110, to 50% a hive. Spirit Song raises every totem to 50% over five tiers from Level 210. Lucky Petals takes every cherryblossom to ten Fortune levels over five tiers from Level 310. Tap a structure to see what it does, how many crops it reaches and where its Blessing stands.
  • Five new fences. Coastal Rope at Level 22, Honey Bamboo at 37, Lavender Picket at 52, Patina Copper at 67 and Sandstone at 82 slot into the gaps between the six from 0.15.1, so a new fence now arrives about every seven levels from 15 to 90.
  • Level 910 is the top of the ladder. Experience kept counting past the last level, so the bar filled toward a Level 911 that paid nothing. The ladder now stops at 910 and the bar reads MAX. Fries sell for 900 Sigils, up from 600, so sixteen potatoes are no longer a loss.
  • The goose tells the Field Guide story straight. Honk's introduction promised a Harvest Shrine at level 50. It now says when each rarity starts dropping, Uncommon at Mastery 25 through Dreamlike at 500, and that a Crop Idol comes at Mastery 50 with the Shrine at 200. The Blessings shop names the level your next Blessing arrives at, and the last mentions of the retired Affinities now say Fortune.
  • Two achievements say what they mean. Empire asked for all 7 islands when there are eleven; it now needs every island on the map. Variety Pack said 16 craftables; it now says every product, counted across your bag and chests. The Stats page counts harvests beyond Dreamlike with the Dreamlike ones.
  • The Store and Eggs wait for their day. The Store card opened on a page that said more bundles were coming soon, and Royal Contracts paid Eggs into a counter nothing could spend. The card reads Soon until there is something in it, and the Egg counter is out of sight until the thing that spends them arrives. Eggs already earned are kept.

Placing a hive should feel like a decision about where, not a second economy to manage. Tell me whether it does.
