What this website and the Archipelago app collect about you, in plain words.
The short version
- No analytics, no ads, no trackers, no cookies, no accounts.
- Nothing you do on this site or in the game is sent to me or anyone else.
- Like every website, the host keeps standard server logs, which I don't look at.
1This website
- No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no pixel of any kind.
- No cookies. Nothing is written to your browser's cookie jar.
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletters, no contact forms.
- No ads, no trackers, no third-party social embeds.
- No third parties at all. Everything the site uses, including its fonts, comes from deesgames.com itself.
The planning tools and wiki run entirely in your browser. Nothing you click, type or work out here is sent anywhere. The one exception is the Market page, which asks deesgames.com for the game's current market prices. That request carries nothing about you.
2What's saved on your device
A few pages remember small things in your browser so you don't have to set them again. This stays on your device and is never sent anywhere:
| What | Why | Kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your settings in the planning tools, like your level and tile count | So each tool opens where you left it | Until you clear this site's data |
| That you've seen the cloud opening on the Archipelago page | So it only plays once a visit | Until you close the tab |
You can remove all of it by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
3The Archipelago app
- Your farm is saved on your device. The game has no accounts and doesn't upload your save.
- No analytics, ads or tracking. The game collects no personal data and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
- It talks to deesgames.com for two things: checking whether a newer version is needed, and fetching the market prices every farm shares. Neither request carries anything about you or your farm.
- Notifications, if you allow them, are scheduled on your device by the game itself.
4Hosting and server logs
The site and the game's two requests are served by Netlify, which keeps standard server access logs (IP address, time and page requested) for every site it hosts, the same as any web host. I don't use Netlify's optional analytics product, so I don't see those logs.
