v0.11.3: Honk's origin story

Honk gets an origin story, and the tutorials catch up with reality. First launch now opens on a short comic of a goose dreaming bigger, and behind it rides a polish pass from play-testing the new goose flow: tutorial lines match how the game plays now, menus opened from the pedestal close back to it, Honk's starter orders wear his own box in the Orders panel, and the quiet stretch between levels 2 and 3 becomes a guided selling mission with first Mastery as its own moment along the way.

  • The game opens with a comic. First launch now plays a short seven-panel comic before the farm appears: a goose dreams of a farm of his own, spots an island on the horizon, and paddles out to it. Tap through at your own pace or skip from the second page. It plays once and hands straight over to Honk's first lesson — and existing players will see it once after updating.
  • Closing a menu returns to the pedestal. Menus opened from the pedestal grid now close back to the grid instead of dropping to the farm, so browsing your menus feels like one visit. Picking something to place or plant, or replaying a tutorial, still heads straight to the field, and menus opened from anywhere else still close to the farm.
  • Goose orders wear the goose's own box. Honk's three starter orders in the Orders panel now come framed in his todo-box parchment, with the delivery progress filling the box's own track.
  • Selling becomes the level 2 lesson. The stretch between levels 2 and 3 used to pass with no guidance at all. Now, as the level 2 popup closes, Honk points at the Market and pins a Sell 10 wheat goal to his todo box, counting each Market sale as it happens.
  • First Mastery becomes its own moment. Wheat Mastery 1 used to land on the same harvest as level 3, its banner and Honk's explanation colliding with the level-up popup. It now arrives at the sixth harvest, squarely between levels 2 and 3, with the Crop Mastery lesson following its banner.
  • Lessons wait their turn. Goose lessons and the mastery banner no longer appear underneath a level-up popup; anything landing at the same moment waits for the popup to be dismissed. The swipe-to-act tip also moves from the fifth harvest to just after level 3, so the early lessons arrive one per beat.
  • The pedestal tour learns the grid. The first-time pedestal walkthrough still described the old radial menu — inner ring, outer ring, and a one-tap Sow and Reap that no longer exists. Honk now walks the grid of cards as it is, from the everyday bottom row to the greyed-out cards that unlock as you grow.
  • Selling points at the Market. The first-harvest lesson told players to sell from their inventory, which has not been possible since selling moved to the Market. It now sends the harvest there, and the Items info page no longer claims sales fill orders — deliveries do that.
  • The Orders button is where the text says it is. The Market info page still pointed at the old scroll pill in the top-left; it now points at the Orders button in its bottom-left corner.
  • Orders are called orders everywhere. A handful of lines still said contracts. Every player-facing mention now matches the Orders button and panel, including the Weekly Orders walkthrough title.

If you start a fresh save, tell me how the run from first till to level 3 reads now — whether the selling goal lands at the right moment and first Mastery feels like its own reward rather than noise around a level-up.
